This kind of printmaking I am introducing you to is sometimes called Monoprinting which means you will usually make one print of an image.
Monoprinting is useful because you can do it on various types of printing paper and create art to be framed or cards to send or sell. Your artwork can become part of an art exhibition. You can do this anywhere using simple tools and materials.
You do not have to spend a lot of money to do these prints or to get great results. Following is a Supplies List and the substitutions you can make and still be successful. This workshop is low stress, high pleasure and stimulates your creativity.
You can do this on your own or invite friends in to do it with you. I just wish I could see all your wonderful creations. WOW
Your Instructor
Valerie Kent has been painting using a variety of mediums over the long term and loves it.
She has a studio in Cavan, Ontario, Canada and teaches adults, teens and children. She has
degrees from several universities - B.Ed.,B.F.A.,M.F.A. and is a member of the Ontario
College of Teachers.
She continues to exhibit her paintings internationally and will be having a prestigious solo show in July
in Belleville, Ontario. There are links to the many magazines that present her artwork on her website.
